What began as a small village of just 300 people exploded into a modern industrial town of nearly 30,000 in less than 80 years. Thanks to the vision and ambition of Paul Kupelwieser, Vítkovice became a model of urban planning — before being gradually swallowed by the expanding ironworks that gave it life.
