MEAT DESIGN OSTRAVA is an international festival that has been connecting design, architecture, art and business with everyday life in Ostrava since 2015 and creates a space for professionals, students and the public to meet. The festival functions as a lively platform for sharing, inspiration and new collaborations and is the only event of its kind in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The 11th year will take place from 6 to 8 November 2026 at the Černá louka in Ostrava and will bring a significantly expanded program with an emphasis on lectures, discussions and current topics from furniture and fashion design to materials and sustainability. An integral part of the festival is the support of young talents and connecting the local scene with artist from abroad.

The theme of this year's festival is "MISTAKE". We do not want to perceive a mistake as a failure, but as a moment when certainty collapses and the space opens up for creativity and innovation and space for better solutions is created.
