Ostrava will get a taste of "Goralia". Photo club Jablunkov will present its "Our Home" at the Luna cinema

What can a photograph tell about the region that is the home of its authors? The answer will be offered by the exhibition "Our Home", hosted by Kino Luna.

The Jablunkov Photo Club was founded in the early 1980s as an association of amateur photographers. At that time, its members worked with analogue technology and their own darkroom. A significant impetus for further development was meetings with photographers, including Jan Byrtus, Václav Kolář, Martin Borovička and Jindřich Štreit. Their experience helped the members move from technical experiments to more thoughtful fine art photography.

Today, the club brings together 17 members aged approximately 30 to 85 years old from Jablunkov and surrounding villages. Although they use digital technology, their goal remains to capture light, shadow and moments that speak of a place and time.
