2025年9月11日～12日、大阪・関西万博2025のチェコパビリオンにて、オストラバ市をビジネス、観光、スポーツ、文化の活力あるハブとして紹介する2日間のプログラムが開催されます。オストラバ市がCTP社、PURPOSIAグループ、オストラヴァ大学と協力して企画したこのイベントでは、日本のビジネスパートナーや来場者の皆様に地域の可能性をご紹介いたします。

1日目：ビジネス・イノベーション・文化

9月11日（木曜日）は、オストラヴァ市長のヤン・ドフナル氏と大阪・関西万博2025チェコ共和国政府代表のオンドジェイ・ソシュカ氏による公式スピーチで開幕いたします。続いて、人形劇映像の初公開やチェコトレードによる「中央ヨーロッパにおけるオストラヴァ」のプレゼンテーションが行われます。

ビジネスに焦点を当てたプログラムでは以下をご紹介いたします：

• 「「物語が始まる場所 – オストラヴァのストーリー」– オストラヴァの変革と投資機会についてご紹介
• 「CTPとオストラヴァの20年にわたる協力関係。地域コミュニティプロジェクトの展開について」：CTP
• 「すべての世代のためのまちづくりと市民インフラの整備」：PURPOSIA
• オストラヴァの人形劇場によるライブ人形劇パフォーマンス

この日のハイライトは、オストラヴァ大学医学部学部長のラスチスラフ・マジル教授による、市内での生物医学イノベーションエコシステムの構築に関するプレゼンテーションです。夕方はチェコパビリオンのガイドツアーや市長との懇親会も予定しています。

2日目：観光・文化・スポーツ

月12日（金曜日）は、オストラヴァの観光と文化の魅力に焦点を当てます。プログラムはVISITOSTRAVA!!!による講演「石炭と鉄鋼から文化と体験へ」で開始され、工業都市としてのルーツから活気ある イベント・観光都市への変革をご紹介いたします。

見どころには以下が含まれます：

• 「オストラヴァの文化」 – 副市長ルツィエ・バラーンコヴァー・ヴィラモヴァー氏によるプレゼンテーション
• 「オストラヴァのスポーツ」 – 市長ヤン・ドフナル氏によるプレゼンテーション
• チェコ日本センターの紹介とココロ・オストラバクラブによる合気道演武
• 野球選手オンドジェイ・サトリア氏との交流会・サイン会

両日ともオストラヴァの人形劇場によるライブパフォーマンスで彩られ、チェコパビリオンに芸術的な魅力をお届けします。

オストラヴァ – 進化し続ける街

今回の日本でのプレゼンテーションは、重工業の街から、イノベーション・文化・スポーツが息づく現代都市へと変貌を遂げたオストラヴァの姿をお伝えする貴重な機会です。多彩なプログラムを通じて、来場者の皆様にオストラヴァの投資・観光ポテンシャルを発見していただき、日本のお客様と市の代表者との直接的なつながりを築いていきます。。

Ostrava at Expo 2025 Osaka: A City of Culture, Sport, and Innovation

On 11–12 September 2025, the Czech Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka | Kansai | Japan will host a two-day program presenting Ostrava as a dynamic hub for business, tourism, sport, and culture. Organized by the City of Ostrava in cooperation with CTP, the PURPOSIA Group, and the University of Ostrava, the event will showcase the region’s potential to Japanese business partners and visitors alike.

Day One: Business, Innovation, and Culture

Thursday, 11 September will open with official speeches by Jan Dohnal, Mayor of Ostrava, and Ondřej Soška, Commissioner General of the Czech Republic at Expo 2025 Osaka. The session will feature the premiere of a puppet video and a CzechTrade presentation on “Ostrava within Central Europe.”

The business-focused block will include:

• “Discover the Story of a City — where new stories begin” – highlighting Ostrava’s transformation and investment opportunities.

• CTP – celebrating two decades of cooperation and community projects in the Ostrava region.

• Purposia – presenting civic infrastructure development for all age groups.

• A live puppet performance by Puppet Theatre Ostrava.

The day’s highlight will be a presentation by Prof. Rastislav Maďar, Dean of the University of Ostrava’s Faculty of Medicine, on building a biomedical innovation ecosystem in the city. The evening will conclude with a guided tour of the Czech Pavilion and an informal gathering with the Mayor.

Day Two: Tourism, Culture, and Sport

Friday, 12 September will focus on Ostrava’s tourism and cultural appeal.
The program will open with VISITOSTRAVA!!! and their talk “From Coal and Steel to Culture and Experiences”, showcasing the city’s transformation from industrial roots to a vibrant event and tourism destination.

Highlights include:

• “Culture in Ostrava” – presented by Deputy Mayor Lucie Baránková Vilamová.

• “Sport in Ostrava” – presented by Mayor Jan Dohnal.

• Presentation of the Czech–Japanese Center and an aikido demonstration by the Kokoro Ostrava Club.

• A meeting and autograph session with baseball player Ondřej Satoria.

Both days will be enriched by live performances from Puppet Theatre Ostrava, adding a creative and artistic touch to the Czech presence in Osaka.

Ostrava – A City of Modern Energy

The presentation in Japan will be an opportunity to show how Ostrava has successfully transformed itself – from a heavy industry hub to a modern center of innovation, culture, and sport. With its diverse program, the event will invite visitors to discover Ostrava’s investment and tourism potential, while fostering direct connections between Japanese guests and city representatives.
