New concert hall - home for the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra

New concert hall and reconstruction of the City of Ostrava Cultural Centre is a highly anticipated event.

Design which won the architectural competition belongs to New York-based Steven Holl Architects. They are cooperating with the Prague studio Architecture Acts. Construction will begin in 2022. Ostrava's new conert hall will be a similarly iconic as Sydney's opera house.

The existing cultural centre will also undergo a complete reconstruction. The Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra will finally have a new home and proper facilities. The hall will offer a wonderful experience to audiences but also to musicians.
