Sights and Architecture

The building by the architect J. Stockart-Bernkopf on the border of functionalism and classicism from 1928-1929 was the headquarters of the Mining and Metallurgical Company. In the front of the building there are four bronze statues representing workers' professions. At present, some departments of the Municipality of the City of Ostrava are based here. It was declared a cultural monument by the Ministry of Culture on 21 February 2003.
